Thank you for your interest in submitting to NoBudge. The links below are for the online platform AND our live screenings in Brooklyn (Nitehawk Cinema - Prospect Park) and Los Angeles (LOOK Dine-In Cinema, Glendale). If you are interested in being considered for a live screening and could attend the event if accepted, please let us know in your Cover Note. You are automatically considered for the online platform unless you denote you are only interested in the live screenings. We have NoBudge Live screenings every couple of months for short films under 20 minutes. (keep an eye on our social media for date announcements). We also consider feature films of any length for occasional NoBudge Presents screenings.

Why should I submit my film?

  • You're looking for a respected place to Premiere your film online. You'll have complete control over the release and screening window (Most of our films are up permanently, but you can choose a shorter time frame).

  • Your film is already online but you also want it screened on NoBudge with a new write-up, and shared on our social media channels.

  • You want to screen your short film live in Brooklyn and take part in a filmmaker Q&A and afterparty (note: not all accepted films are guaranteed placement in a live screening - we have limited slots available).

  • You want the support and endorsement from a site that's been called “One of the best places to sample what’s happening in low-budget cinema worldwide." -The New York Times.

  • You want your film to be seen within a true indie context. We are focused on movies made for less than 50K.

  • To be eligible for the year-end NoBudge Short Films of the Year list.

After you Submit:

  • You will hear back within a week of submitting. If your film is selected, we will arrange with you to set a date to post.

NoBudge Screening Options:

  1. Online Premiere. Your film is premiering through NoBudge.

  2. Non-Premiere. We also screen films that are already available on Vimeo or YouTube or premiere on another site.

  3. Limited Run. We consider films for exclusive screening windows.

  4. Subscription Only. We can license feature films directly from filmmakers/producers, or in some cases, from other distributors.

  5. NoBudge Live. NoBudge hosts live screenings bi-monthly in Brooklyn New York and Los Angeles California.

    Note: This is for short films only + Filmmaker must be able to attend + Not all accepted films are guaranteed a live screening.

*We can remove your film at any point upon your request if your distribution situation changes.
